Shipping Guide

How you package and ship your cards to us is important to ensure that they arrive safely and can be easily handled by the team when they arrive. Where possible packaging is reused (such as penny sleeves and card holders) and all other packaging is recycled or donated to local TCG communities.

If you have a large collection of cards you wish to submit that are currently stored in a manner that does not meet our guidelines below (such as in folders/binders), that's not a problem. Just get in touch with some details about the number of cards and how they are stored and we will work with you to get them to us safely.

1

Penny sleeves
Cards need to first be placed in a penny sleeve.
This is the first line of defence against any kind of scratching to the surface or damage to edges. It's really important that cards are sleeved before they go into any other form of card protector as more rigid plastics can very easily create tiny scratches and marks on the card surfaces and edges.

2

Semi-rigid card holders
Once sleeved, cards should be placed in a semi-rigid card holder.
This provides another layer of protection against minor knocks and bending of the card. If you're wondering why we prefer semi-rigid over commonly used top loaders, the answer is the ease of handling. It's much safer to take cards in and out of semi-rigid card holders than top Loaders. If you're planning on storing a card for a long time and never or very rarely handling it, we would recommend top loaders, but when you know a card is going to be handled a few times before long term storage, semi-rigids are a safer option.

3

A cardboard sandwich
After placing your cards into sleeves and semi-rigids, they need to be sandwiched between some rigid card and secured with elastic bands.
This provides further protection against bends and dents to the surfaces. You can group several cards together in a single sandwich, just make sure the elastic bands are not so tight that you can see the semi-rigid card holders bending.

4

Packaging
You can use any packaging you like to get the prepared cards to us, just don't over do it on the tape.
We leave the outer packaging to your judgement based on the estimated value of the items, for some submissions a bubble envelope is sufficient but for others you may want that extra level of protection and use a box with additional bubble wrap. All we ask is that you don't wrap it up too much in tape, if we don't feel we can get into the package without risking the contents we may have to return it to you unopened.

5

Postage
Once your submission has been approved, we will notify you by email and let you know our postal address. The address includes a unique number that relates to your submission so please check this carefully.

6

Insurance
Most importantly of all, make sure that your package is insured to the correct value.
We can't take any responsibility for the contents of packages that arrive with us damaged. In this event, we will thoroughly photograph the package before opening and, if necessary, get in touch with you to provide you with a report and photographs should the contents be damaged, so that you can raise a claim with the shipping provider you used.

7

Relax...
Put your feet up, your work is done. We'll keep you informed throughout the journey of your submission as we process it – from arrival, to imaging, to listing.
